Hello fellow coding cats! I’ve been having an absolute blast on my break between semesters over the holidays, but now it’s time to work hard towards my goals again. I kicked off Spring semester on January 8th and guess what…I signed up for 4 classes again! I chatted with my advisor and turns out I don’t need any more science, instead I need to do a history class. And take a history exam at some point too – yay! So I chose U.S. Federal Government. I figured it’s time to actually get into politics since I’ve avoided it my whole life and apparently it’s a “big deal” for conversations or something. Should be intriguing!
Now for the good stuff – my other 3 tech classes as part of my Programming & Analysis program! Drum roll please…SQL Programming, Advanced Java, and Intro to Data Analytics! I’m SO pumped for this semester!! This is my third and final Java class before I finish my associate’s, so I’ll have mad Java skills to keep practicing with after. I’ve never done SQL before but now I’ll get hands-on with databases and data, woohoo! And Intro to Data Analytics is going to download so much data knowledge into my brain! Overall, this semester is going to be a blast. 😸
My plans for The Coder’s Catnip haven’t changed much, except I’m adding SQL to the coding languages I’ll have resources and notes for. I know my time management has been worse than a cat chasing lasers and I play way too many games (check my GitHub and archives, it’s sad). But I actually started adulting a bit last semester with a routine! And this semester I’m getting super efficient plus way better self-control thanks to this AMAZING book I’m writing a blog post about soon. Hot tip: it will change your life! Anyway, with this being my third Java class, I’m going to expand all my Java posts, notes, projects, the whole shebang on my blog. I can’t wait to organize all my school notes and record my self-improvement journey this year! 2024 is going to be epic!
